Hyderabad: Zakat Foundation of America distributed 350 food packs in Hyderabad City to the widows, poor, and the needy as part of its Ramadan Food Distribution – 2014 programme.
Farida Khan, Head of the India Volunteers team of the Zakat Foundation of America distributed Ramadan free food parcels here at the Old Malakpet, Shankar Nagar, Papayya Basti, and Moosanagar.
ZFA distributed a total of 350 Ramadan free food parcels each weighting 25 kg worth of Rs 1175/- each parcel (10kg rice, 2kg dal, 10 kg wheat flour, 2 kg sugar, oil one liter, half k g Vermicelli) to poor and downtrodden people.
On this occasion .Farida Khan said that ZFA has been involved in such programmes since 2009. ZFA also support orphans’ education, providing livestock to farmers, providing free computer literacy and fashion designing training in India.
