Fire fighters at TIA soon brought the minor fire under control and the passengers were evacuated.

“The aircraft has now been parked at the airport’s hangar and its scheduled return to Dhaka at 3.10 p.m. has been cancelled,” a high level source at the TIA told Xinhua.

A team of technicians will arrive here from Bangladesh Tuesday to determine if the aircraft can resume operations.
