MoU between AMU and RRUIM signed to encouraging pre-clinical, clinical studies

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Aligarh (RRUIM) to provide new dimensions in the field of Unani Medical Research.

RRUIM is part of the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The MoU was signed by Dr Asfar Ali Khan, registrar; Professor Naeem A Khan, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine; Professor Abdul Lateef, chairman, Department of Ilmul Advia; Professor Tajuddin, chairman, Department of Saidla, AMU and Professor S Shakir Jamil, Director General, CCRUM, New Delhi and Dr Shariq Ali Khan, Deputy Director, RRIUM, Aligarh, Zeeshan Ahmad, AMU assistant PRO said in a release said.

Professor Naeem said the historical document is aimed towards encouraging pre-clinical and clinical studies with active coordination of Department of Ilmul Advia and Department of Saidla, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, the release added.
