Islamabad : A district and sessions court in Pakistan Monday ordered the registration of a case against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, a close supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, for inciting violence, media reported.
Ahmed was accused of making a speech during a PTI rally in Nankana Sahib Nov 12, Dawn online reported.
During the speech, Rasheed had warned the government of ‘judo karate’ in case an attempt was made to restrict PTI’s Nov 30 rally in Islamabad.
The PTI has been holding countrywide anti-government demonstrations since Aug 14 in protest against the government’s alleged corruption and rigging in the 2013 general elections.
