Symposium on society and politics organised in Patna

Patna: A Symposium (Paricharcha) was organised on 19th October by Samaaj Bachaho Aandolan in A.N. Sinha Institute, Patna on the topic “Samaaj se dur Rajneet”. Intellectuals and social thinkers spoke on the occasion and expressed serious resentment and reservation on the attitude of political party towards society.

Specifically on the attitude of political parties of Bihar towards agriculture and education reforms in Bihar, it is being felt that political parties are working like corporate organisations and they have lost morals, speakers observed.

Meeting also discussed the situation of Muslims which has very limited political option in Bihar after the bipolar formation of two alliances in Bihar and weakening left. Some of the speakers felt that social activists must come forward to launch a new political platform in Bihar so that the aspiration of Muslim, socialist and secular voters could be addressed properly.

Convenor of “Samaaj Bachao Aandolan” Mohammad Kashif Yunus presided over the programme. He announced that Samaaj Bachaho andolan will increase the intensity of its activities in the coming months so that ignorance attitude of political parties towards society could be exposed.

Resident Editor of Inqualab, Patna Mr. Ahmed Jawed also spoke on the occasion. Many farmer leaders like Mr. Chandrashekhar, Prof. Shivkumar Nand and others also spoke in the meeting and express their views.
