Police came to know about the incident after the hospital authorities informed them about the injured.

“We have detained three people, including a woman, who carried the three injured to the hospital. The condition of the all the three is critical. Prima facie it appears they were injured while making bombs,” a police officer said.

Since the Oct 2 explosion in Khagragarh in Burdwan district in which two suspected Bangladeshi militants were killed, there have been several incidents of crude bombs going off or being seized by police from several districts of the state.
