AMU Kishanganj Centre organizes orientation programme for MBA entrants

Kishanganj, Bihar: Following the footprints of its parent department, the Department of Business Administration, AMU Centre Kishanganj organized an orientation program for the first batch of MBA students admitted to the centre. A total of 60 students have been admitted on the basis of All India test for AMU Centre Kishanganj centre.

Prof. M. Israrul Haque, Chairman, Department of Business Administration & Dean, Faculty of Management Studies & Research (FMRS) inaugurated Orientation Programme for MBA students at AMU Centre Kishanganj. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the professional academic and multi-tasking skills for meeting the management targets.

He gave the real life examples and case studies to focus on academic quality, honesty, scholarship and self-discipline. Further, he added students need to brush up their soft skills, , communication skills, reading skills for getting good jobs. Dr. Raashid Nehal, Director, AMU Centre Kishanganj raised concerns about management students lacking effective written ,oral communication and interpersonal skills skills. He urged the students to make use of the faculty and library resources to update their subject knowledge and professional skills.

Dr. Rizwana, Training and placement officer, A.M.U .Centre Kishanganj outlined the brief proposal of the office to initiate the training and placement activities .Prof Israr also address the need to develop and establish training and placement office as to meet the employment as well as summer training needs of MBA and B.Ed. students of the centre.

Dr. Haidar Abbas conducted the programme and provided a snapshot of the profiles of all the speakers. Dr. Mohammad Faisal gave a brief account of AMU and FMSR with the help of a short documentary film. The vision and mission of AMU Centre Kishanganj were detailed by Dr. Uzma Siddiqui, Assistant Professor, Department of Education & Warden Girls’ Hostel. Assistant Proctor Mr. Jawed Ahmad briefed the students about rules and regulations of the campus. Dr. Rizwana Khatun provided the curriculum details while formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Agha Nuruzzaman, Course Co-ordinator, M.B.A. programme
