Honour for AMU teacher

Aligarh: Dr. Ghazala Yasmin, guest teacher, Department of Applied Mathematics, ZH College of Engineering and Technology at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been awarded the “A K Agarwal Prize for Best Publication of the Year 2014”.

Dr. Yasmin received the award at the International Conference on Special Functions and their Applications (ICSFA-2014) held at Thapar University, Patiala.

She has received this award for her paper entitled “Some properties of Legendre-Gould Hopper polynomials and operational methods”, published in Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Application, a release from AMU said.

The conference focused on a wide range of topics including special functions, Lie theory, Ramanujan’s mathematics, fractional calculus, combinatorics, Q-series and continued fractions, applications of special functions to physical sciences and engineering etc.
