Hudkeshwar police station of the city booked PSI Vinod Madhre of Kamptee police station for allegedly raping a 23 years old Dalit woman on the promise of marriage.

The accused SI was transferred to Kamptee police station after he got promotion and allegedly married a fellow SI.

The complainant who is also Bachelor of Pharmacy student was making rounds of the police station for the last few days but her complaint was refused by the police. Ultimately a local social activist Nutan Rewatkar helped her in registering the FIR.

In her complaint she said that both of them neighbours in her village in Bhandara district since childhood and were also friends. Their families too knew about their relationships. He was later recruited in the police department as a constable and subsequently selected as an officer through state commission examination.

The lady also alleges that Mandhre forced her into physical relationship when she was 15 years. The victim also alleged that the accused developed physical relationship with her till June 2015.

However, he ditched her suddenly after nine years. He got selected for officers training and fell in love with a woman PSI and married her, the complaint says.
