Kabul: At least 11 soldiers were killed after Taliban militants ambushed a military convoy in Afghanistan’s Herat province, the media reported on Monday.
The incident took place Sunday night in Masjid-e-Chobi area of Kurkh district, Tolo News reported.
The convoy was travelling from Herat city to the neighbouring Badghis province. The insurgents also seized the weapons of the dead soldier.
