‘Parenting in Islamic way’ talk held at Coimbatore

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu): Madharasathul Aqsa, a Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath Podanur branch, had organised a parents’ meeting here and held a talk on ‘Parenting in an Islamic way.’

Mujeeb ur Rahman delivered a talk on ‘Parenting in an Islamic way’ and madrassa tutor’s sister Saleena and Hafiz Akbar Ali delivered a talk on ‘Importance of learning Islamic knowledge.’ The event was held on May 1, 2015 here, a release from the madrassa said here.

Earlier, students’ wing secretary Shakeel Ahamed welcomed the gathering; Ahamed delivered a presentation on ‘Growth of Masjidul Aqsa and its future goals’ in which he stated that ‘Masjidul Aqsa’ was established in year 1998 in a small land with motive of promoting right and forbidding evils that is prevalent in society.

“Alhamdulilaah, by the grace of almighty, we have succeeded in our purpose. However, we still need to work hard to achieve big things and we have lots on our shoulders,” he said and also emphasized the importance of charity and contributions for continuing such activities.

The meeting set a goal of distributing scholarship worth Rs 5 lakh this academic year for poor and needy students in the locality and also decided to organize an Islamic exhibition on May 24. Students of madrassa will be exhibiting Islamic history, Quran and modern science. Innovations in Islam in the form of miniature and projects.

The event ended with distributing prizes for best students with full attendance. More than 100 parents participated in the event, the release added.
