Non-subsidised LPG cylinder price down Rs.42, jet fuel rate up 5.5 percent

New Delhi: State-run oil marketing companies on Thursday cut prices of non-subsidised LPG, or cooking gas by Rs.42 per 14.2 kg cylinder, on a day new reduced prices also came into effect for domestic natural gas and diesel.

The non-subsidised LPG cylider, which consumers purchase after exhausting their quota of subsidised cylinders, now costs Rs 517.50 in Delhi.

The non-subsidised LPG price was last cut by Rs.25.50 on September 1, making the current reduction in rates the fourth in as many months.

Oil marketers on Thursday raised aviation turbine fuel (ATF), or jet fuel, price in Delhi by 5.5 percent, or Rs.2,245.92 per kilolitre (kl) to Rs.43,184.16 per kl.

The hike follows a steep 11.7 percent cut to Rs.40,938.24 per kl effected from September 1, which was the third reduction in three months.
