How not to fight Hindutva forces

Activities of communal forces have increased but there are hardly any organization to challenge them

By Imteyaz Husain for TwoCircles.net,

In the last baithak of RSS in Delhi, where PM Modi put up his / his cabinet’s report-card before The Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat in which Mr. Bhagwat sermon the PM of India to improve relations with Pakistan and declared that Pakistan and Bangladesh as their brothers. But at the same time Sangh Parivar is not ready to accept Indian Muslims as their brother. What does it show?

It proves that they treat the Indian Muslims as their actual enemy as such all their activities, as pointed out below, is Muslim-centric and against the Muslms of India. Their main agenda is limited to constructing a Ram Mandir at the place of Babri Masjid, abolishing the Muslim Personal Law, unleashing the programme of Ghar Wapsi, scrapping the Article 370 and making the Muslims economically, socially, and politically marginalized by use of communal violence.

For Ghar Wapsi programme: RSS and its allies are alluring the down trodden and deprived Muslims to absorb them in the Dalit/ Adivasis categories, as the case may be, if they come in to the Hindu fold on the assurance that the converted person would be entitled for all the facilities and benefits reserved for SC/ST of Hindu Dalits.

However there are some reports from few places that through their (Hindutva organisations) network they are obtaining Dalit certificates in favour of such converted people through SC/ ST Commission smoothly and effectively whereas the law of SC/ST do not have any definition or provision to grant Dalit certificate to any converted person since no Dalit category exist in Muslim and Christian society/religion.

Most Muslims are not aware that as per the Presidential Order for SC/ST, Dalit segments do not exist in the Muslim and Christian community, therefore any person(s) if leave his/ their religion- Islam, he or they cannot be absorbed in the Dalit class of Hindu religion. He or they can only be absorbed among the upper caste of Hindu society. But this is being reportedly violated with under cover activities by the Hindutva forces in collusion with the officials in SC/ST Commission.

Notwithstanding the above, I am not aware of any Muslim organisation – religious , social or political ever filed any objection with the SC/ST commission against granting Dalit status to any such converted person or group of persons since neither we are aware nor we have any network of information gathering , analysing and responding to the situation by any of our appropriate body including Muslim Personal Law Board or Muslim Majlis e Mashawarat.

But the questions are: Are we prepared to meet such challenges? Do we have any information of such incidents? Does any figure exist in the record of any social/ political or religious organisation? The answer is big no!

Although we have presence of Masjids and Madarsas or Muslim run schools at every nook and corner, Alas ! Without any network or organisation.

No Imam or Moazzin or Mohtamim of the Madrassa is cautious or trained to lend his eyes and ears on any hidden activity of the Hindutva group either on Ghar Wapsi or engineering of riots in order to report it quickly to any parental organisation as we do not have any networking whereas the Christian missionaries maintain full report on the secret or open activities of the Hindutva group.

None of the Muslim organisations has compiled any data of communal riots that occur in India at regular intervals since the Independence with detail of losses of human lives and the economic losses of the Muslim community incorporating the official figures as well as non-official figures. Our organisations do not possess the records of Riot Commissions / Committees in a systematic order vis a vis its findings. We do not have any data of judicial outcome against any riot monger and number of prosecutions in each riot. Neither do we have any organisation to make the Govt. accountable for the riots as our votes are taken for granted by the “champion of secularism” parties.

We the Muslims of India do not have any record of mosques – in operation, abandoned and the mosques ceased to function either usurped by others or otherwise but surprisingly this figure is available with the Christian Missionaries, yet working in unison with full coordination among themselves, as per the information of Maulana Sajjad Nomani stated in a meeting in Mumbai.

The challenge to Hindutva forces have to be done at intellectual, social, and legal way but the condition of Muslim organizations show that we are nowhere ready to meet this challenge in any of the areas.
