On Saturday, Nida Khan moved to a local court in Bareilly which has slated January 23 for recording the statements.

The case relates to Nida Khan, a resident of Shahdana locality in Bareilly. She was married on 18 February 2015 to Sheeran Raza of Mohalla Saudagaran. Sheeran is the son of Usman Raza Khan, who is younger brother of Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan. Maulana Tauqeer heads political outfit Ittehad-e-Millat Council and is known as Nabeer—e–Aala Hazrat.

As per local reports, Nida has filed a protest application in the court against the final report of police. She had claimed that within three months of her marriage she was asked to leave the house on 16 July 2015. She also claimed that her husband Sheeran, mother-in-law Shimmi, father-in-law Usman Raza Khan and her her husband’s brother Iqaan were harassing her for dowry demands. They had demanded a Duster vehicle from her. The case was lodged on the orders of court and the local police has submitted its final report.

Now, Nida has approached the court and challenged the final report of the police claiming that investigation has not been done properly.

Nida also had informed local media that she was a student of M.com but her in laws asked her to quit her studies. She also met SP City claiming that she is afraid of her in laws and she was pushed in the court and threatened with acid attack.

Nida has also approached Shaher Qazi for giving the Shariah opinion on the matter.
