Empowerment Conference by AMU Alumni Forum- UAE to revive the Aligarh Movement

Sharjah, UAE: In an attempt to revive the spirit of Aligarh Movement of Sir Syed Ahmad, an Empowerment Conference 2016 is being organized by AMU Alumni Forum of UAE in Sharjah on Thursday Oct 20th at 8 pm.

“So far Aligarh Movement was always thought of as simply a movement for education for Muslims but Sir Syed had the vision to empower the Muslims, therefore this year we have organized this conference to focus on empowerment of Muslims & Dalits,” said S.M. Qutbur Rehman, president of AMU Alumni Forum- UAE.

The Conference aims to discuss and finds ways for the social and educational empowerment of the disadvantaged sections of the Indian society including minorities and Dalits, according to the program description of the Conference.

Famous journalist and author Rana Ayyub, former MP Zafar Ali Naqvi, Education Minister of Bihar Dr. Ashok Choudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth and TwoCircles.net Executive Editor Kashif-ul-Huda are among the speakers at the Conference.

The Conference is organized at Hotel Holiday International in Sharjah UAE.
