In his YouTube video, Gopalakrishnan made comments against Malappuram, the lone Muslim majority district in south India, in derogatory language.

Gopalakrishnan said that Malappuram got most number MLAs in the state as women in the district delivered babies like pigs.

The Hindu preacher also compared Malappuram with Pakistan.

In his Facebook post, Wahab invited Gopalakrishnan to Malappuram citing he can get a clear picture of Malappuram by having a glass of Malappuram black tea.

“I invite all the haters of Muslims in Malappuram to Malappuram. Let us have a glass of sulaimani (black tea) and feel how we host you without considering your cast or colour,” Wahab’s Facebook post said.

“Malappuram has played a key role in the Independence struggle of our country and also gave birth to many freedom fighters. It is the place where the literary icons like Thunjathu Ezhuthachan, Poonthanam and Vallathol have born. They have not felt any intolerance towards anyone here,” it said.

He said that Malappuram had stood behind secularism when various parts of country had witnessed intolerance after the demolition of Babri Masjid. “Our leaders stood for peace when the sentiments had been hurt on different occasions. We are Muslims who are proud to be called as an Indian,” he said.

The Facebook note under the hashtag #entevakasulaimani, black tea from my part, has also gone viral.

Meanwhile, IUML and Congress have demanded strong action against Gopalakrishnan. IUML state general secretary KPA Majeed told media persons that the party was thinking about taking legal action against Gopalakrishnan. Congress leader Rajmohan Unnithan demanded the State Government to take stringent action in the issue.
