Human values and importance of Islam to the society discussed as FIYO’s two day conference closes

Akola (Maharashtra): Enthusiasm of young Muslim students was on full display during a two day conference organized here by Federation of Islamic Youth Organizations (FIYO) and hosted by Association of Indian Muslim Students (AIMS).

The conference was organized on October 15 and 16 to discuss various problems faced by the society and its solutions offered by Islam, which was attended by more than 5000 students and elders from across the country.

FIYO is an association of youths that aims to build a common platform for Muslim organizations to provide students an intellectual impetus that shall guide them in attaining greater social, moral and spiritual objectives and ultimately benefiting the nation and the community.

Exhibition of biographies of Muslim scientists and historical Muslim personalities was staged during the conference. School going children also displayed their skills through a drama.

Ex MP Brigadier Sudhir Sawant , Prominent Writer Dr. Ram Puniyani, Member of Rihai Manch Sharad Jaiswal and father Mathews were the dignitaries on the occasion.

The conference was held in six different sessions under the heads – Inaugural, educational, Unity of ummah (Ittehade Ummat), revival of ummah (Ihya e Ummat), Freedom of Humanity (Azadi e Insaniyat) and Take Home Message.

While highlighting the human values, noted activist Dr. Ram Puniyani underlined the threats of saffron terror adding that it is today’s biggest challenge for the humanity. He also expressed concern over the victimization of Muslims, Dalits and Christians in the country by saffron groups.

Speaking on the occasion, renowned scholar Adv. R S Adil said the society is in search of solution for modern day problems faced by every human being and that Islam can provide all solutions to them as it exactly relates with human nature.

Expressing his thought, Sharad Jaiswal said, ”Muslim community is backward in education so as its first responsibility Muslims must acquire deep knowledge of rights and laws to counter the misusing of force by the government”.

Brigadier Sudhir Sawant charged America and Europe countries for the destruction of human societies by using aggressive military forces in the world. He strongly urged people to come together and oppose America and its growing terror in the society.

Father Mathews praised the efforts of FIYO in organizing such an event to discuss issues related with minorities in India and include a session on equality and humanity.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Wajih-Ul-Qamar, National convener of FIYO said, “If we want to live with honour and dignity then we must have to follow our creator’s principles. I appeal each and every participant to devote their lives to spread Islamic values in the society to establish peace in the country and the world.”

Expressing satisfaction over successful conclusion of conference , Zubair Mirza, the organizer of the event told TwoCircles.net, “By the help and blessings of Allah and nonstop hardwork of our volunteers, conference succeed beyond the expectations. We may hold similar conferences in future at other places too.”
