Mushawarat firmly blames that Modi Government and the PDP- BJP coalition partner for their utter failure to bring about peace in the state. This the main reason for disquiet against the government among the people who are subjected to brutal use of excessive force.

Hamid said that the over reaction of the security forces, under the direction of the policy makers in New Delhi, to deal with the stone pelters has further spoiled the chances to bring normalcy in the state.

As Mushawarat’s statement said, the unfortunate part of the crisis is the continuous insistence of the BJP leaders that the crisis in J&K is a ‘Law & Order problem’ and not a political crisis which needs to be solved through dialogue with all stake holders and persuasion and human approach.

It further said that instead of reaching out to the protesters, they are being dealt with force. All saner politician and defense experts including Former Army Chief Gen Malik, Lt Gen Panag and former GOC Lt. Gen Hooda pleaded for initiation of political dialogue with the all stake holders to end political crisis in the state.

Mushawarat alleges center for the ignorance of basic public demands that the center had ignored their pleas as well as appeals of political groups. India is one of the greatest democracies in the world and the approach of our leaders should be to reach out to all those people who have remained away from the national mainstream, there is a need to apply balm to their wounds rather than further alienating them.

Hamid said that we all must walk on the path of peace and resume negotiation to find peaceful solution to the issue. Day by day the Kashmiri youth is feeling alienated because of the continuous attack on the students from Kashmir by the hate mongers of RSS affiliated organizations in educational institutions mostly in the BJP ruled states.

The government should act firmly against these hoodlums. A good number of brilliant students have left their educational institutions because of state patronage to the culprits. What the BJP and other right-wingers fail to understand is the danger of the total alienation of the Kashmiri youths.

Recently a group of civil society activists under the leadership of Yashwant Sinha, former foreign minister and BJP leader had visited valley and had submitted a vision document for resolution of the issue.

Mushawarat firmly demands that the Government of India that should immediately give up policy of repression and excessive use of force and initiate unconditional dialogue with all stake holders on lines of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee policy. AIMMM further urges government to give due considerations to Yashwant Sinha’s recommendations to solve the current crisis in the state.

Mushawarat also appeals to the agitating youths and students in valley to stop violence and concentrate on studies to build their future and reminds them that violence would not bring any resolution to crisis. Mushawarat is of firm view that the Kashmiri students and youths should adopt more peaceful means to highlight their problems instead of violence.
