Aurangabad, Maharashtra: Wave of Muslim Reservation rallies continues in Maharashtra. After Nagpur, Beed, Latur and Nanded, now Aurangabd and Osmanabad Muslims are all set to come on roads on January 5th and 6th demanding reservations for Muslims in government jobs and education institutions.

It is notable that Sachar Committee and Rangnath Mishra Commission clearly shows that Muslims in India are lagging behind in various socio-economic indicators.

Some states of India have declared reservation to Muslims in order to improve their economic, social and educational status. Andhra Pradesh has implemented 5% , Kerela 5% and Telengana is preparing to give 12% reservation of seats to Muslims.

Total population of Muslims in Aurangabad city is about 3 lakh, this city of Marathwada region having its own historical importance.

Wajed Qadri told TwoCircles.Net that we have decided to hold a rally a month back, that time it was seeming difficult to bring together Muslims, but miraculously our brothers from different maslaks and sects are joining hands. “We have received nealy 150 letters of support and appreciation from various NGOs including Jamiat Ahle Hadees, Raza Academy, Jamate Islami Hind etc.”
He further added, “Maratha and Dalit forces like Maratha Seva Sangh, Sambhaji Brigade have also extended their support. We have made announcement and requested all the Muslims of the entire districts. Now we a expect crowd of about about five lakhs.”

Qadri said that they are marching and holding protest in a democratic to meet four demands-i) 15% reservation ii) protection of Waqf properties iii) protest against ban on Muslim religious Non-Governmental organizations iv) compensation to acquitted youths who were earlier accused of terrorism.
Osmanabad Morcha Core Committee conducted a press meet on Monday to share the details with the media. Press note said that Muslims are living in this country with other communities like brother and sisters. we want equal opportunities to give our best to the country.

“As a citizen of India we too have equal rights to grow and contribute to nation building activities.” Khan said, we are working day and night to make it a successful event. Khan expects 2 lakh people to join the rally on January 5th.
