Addressing a press conference in Varanasi on Monday, Maulana Madani said, “The Triple Talaq is being pulled in discussion uselessly. Few media houses are pushing the Triple Talaq debate just for the sake of TRP. “

“It is not permitted in Islam that you say ‘Talaq’ three times and the marriage is over. If you look around, no matter related to Talaq is that serious, like it is being projected,” said Madani.

He further said, “Hon’ble Supreme Court should allow Muslim Personal Law Board and Ulemas to clear the air on Triple Talaq and to come up with a consensus on the same. That should be the better way.”

Madani talked with media at the house of Samajwadi Party leader Istaqbal Quraishi. Praising UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for cracking down in illegal slaughter houses and butcher shops, Madani said, “Shariah doesn’t allow anything which is unlawful. If your work is causing problems to any other religion, do some other work.”

When media asked him to rank the recent Yogi government, he said, “He has just spent 50 days in the power. At least give him five months, then something can be said.”

Talking about the Muslim youth who get implicated into fake terror cases, he said, “Muslims are being jailed before the trial or any charge could be specified. Governments think beforehand that they are terrorists. Recently Gujarat Police implicated some men into terror cases and they were sentenced by Lower as well as the High Court. Later it was Supreme court which set them free after JUH fought their cases.”

“The time those men spent in jail in agony and shame, who will those time to them”, said Madani.

Moreover Madani said, “Some people, who keep beard and skullcap, are trying to become real ideologues of Islam over Television. They are explaining Islam in wrong way. Islam has nothing to do what these men are saying. TV channels are using these people for expediting their agenda.”
