Cuba to Improve Ties with Bangladesh

New Delhi : Cuban Ambassador to India Miguel Angel Ramirez submitted his credential letters to Bangladesh President Iajuddin Ahmed.

Ramirez says that at the meeting at the Government Palace, Ahmed voiced his intention to work for the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The President also recalled Cuba’s support to Bangladesh´ independence in 1971.

Cuba was the first Latin Amercan country to establish relations with Dacca and was among the first in the world to recognize its independence.

Since then, both countries has mantained friendly ties.
