Sydney : Australian opener Matthew Hayden might have been dropped by the the national selectors but the veteran is still ranked among the world’s best one-day batsman.
Hayden has been ranked 11th on the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) latest list of the world’s top-20 batsman in the 50-over game.
The 37-year-old was dropped from Australia’s one-day and Twenty20 side after a prolonged form slump.
Hayden, however, has insisted that he still has cricket left in him and will not be forced into retiring from his 103-Test career.
He, however, has said that he may reflect on his future next fortnight.
The Queenslander will play for his beloved Bulls in a Sheffield Shield game Jan 30 in his only chance to stake a claim for next month’s Test series in South Africa.
