Ghaziabad clinics, chemists plan shutdown over doctor’s kidnapping

Ghaziabad: All private hospitals, clinics and chemist shops in this town will remain closed Tuesday to protest the kidnapping of a doctor a few days ago, the Ghaziabad wing of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) said Monday.

“The agitating doctors will take part in a march to protest the kidnapping of K.M. Singh and the police inaction in the case,” Rakesh Bansal, president of IMA-Ghaziabad, said.

“We have told the police that if they do not take action within two days, we will launch a city-wide shutdown,” Bansal said.
