Lucknow : Five members of a family were killed at their home in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Saturday.
Businessman Gama Gupta, his wife, two daughters and a two-year-old granddaughter were found dead Saturday inside their home in the Oonch town of Bhadohi, some 250 km from Lucknow.
“Preliminary investigation reveal the family members died of injuries inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon,” police inspector Sunil Singh told IANS.
While the police are yet to ascertain the exact cause behind the killings, locals claimed that Gupta was having a land dispute with some relatives residing in a nearby village.
