Kanhaiya Lal – A teacher in defense of Batla House accused

Mr. Kanhaiya Lal is a renowned teacher of Physics in Azamgarh and his name is known not only to school-going students of Science but also to their parents. He retired as Principal, Shri Subhash Inter College, Karkhia, Azamgarh. Kanhaiya Lal has close acquaintance with the family of both Mohammad Sarvar and Hakim – Azamgarh youth accused in some terror cases. Lal knows three generations of these Muslim youths.

In a video interview with TwoCircles.net he talks about the credentials of their family and also about personal behaviour of these young Muslim boys. In fact, when the news of Mohammad Sarvar’s arrest reached Kanhaiya ji, he was dumbstruck and could not believe such a thing happening to well behaved boys like Sarvar and Hakim

Mohammad Sarvar s/o Mr. Mohammad Hanif, accused in Batla House episode, was picked from Ujjain (M.P.) but was shown arrested from Lucknow. A resident of village Chandpatti, district Azamgarh, Mohammad Sarvar had his early education from Govt. Middle School and Shri Subhash Inter College, Karkhia, P.S. Raunapar, Tehsil Sagri, district Azamgarh. He passed Intermediate in the year 2002 and was placed Ist. From 2002-04 Sarvar received coaching in JRS, Varanasi. From 2004-08 Sarvar was a student of B.Tech. (Electronics) in Integral University, Lucknow. He passed B.Tech. in Ist class and joined Leo Duct company in Bombay. Thereafter, Mohammad Sarvar joined ICSA Hyderabad and was posted in Ujjain (M.P.). Sarvar has just worked four days in Ujjain when he was picked up from outside his office at 8pm on 19th January, 2009. He was, however, shown arrested by Security agencies from Tedhi Pulia, Lucknow on 21st January, 2009. Mohammad Sarvar is now languishing in Central Jail, Jaipur (Rajasthan). Sarvar’s father is a teacher, who was a good sportsman in his student days.

Hakim s/o Mr. Abdul Karim, originally a resident of village Karmaini, district Azamgarh, now resides in Mohalla Rahmat Nagar, Azamgarh. Hakim had his early education from Christian Missionary Jyoti Niketan School, Azamgarh. He was appearing for B.Tech exam in Integral University, Lucknow. Hakim was arrested from the gates of Integral University and is now lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi. Hakim’s father retired as SDO, Hydel and one of his uncle is a Professor of Physics in AMU, Aligarh.
