Muzaffarnagar : Thousands of fish died due to discharge of poisonous water from industries at Shukartal in the district following which an inquiry has been ordered into the incident, officials said here Monday.
Fish were found dead Sunday following which a case has been registered against factories in Uttarakhand for discharging poisonous water in the river Ganga, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar told reporters here.
An inquiry has also been ordered into the incident, he said, adding Sub-Divisional Magistrate A H Karni would conduct the probe.
