IAC, which is backing the campaign of Hazare in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, said 34-year-old Shiv Elango is sick and the 81-year-old Appaindravel is becoming less mobile.

Several fasters have reported diarrhoea, abdominal cramps and other symptoms.

IAC media coordinator Banu Gomes told IANS: “There is a possibility of one more person fasting withrawing on grounds of health.”

She said four people withdrew after being detected with mild jaundice because of the fasting and are now doing well.

The lone woman on hunger strike is S. Sujatha, who is also continuing to fast for the 10th consecutive day.
