A division bench headed by Chief Justice M.K. Sarma disposed of the petition asking the petitioner to approach the Delhi government authorities with the suggestions.

The court also asked the petitioner to file a copy of the suggestions to the Delhi traffic police for their perusal.

The Delhi government had declared that a high-capacity bus system covering 103 km was likely to be completed by December 2009, ahead of the Commonwealth Games to be hosted by the city in 2010, the petition said.

A committee was formed to examine the feasibility of the high-capacity bus corridor project and the government asked the panel to submit a report by March 2006, said the petition adding that no action had been taken in this regard so far.
