President on a three-day visit to Maharashtra

New Delhi : President Pratibha Patil left here Monday evening on a three-day visit to Maharashtra during which she will attend a series of religious, educational and sports functions.

On Tuesday, Patil will attend a function at the Sai Baba Sansthan Trust at Shirdi and inaugurate the 11th Inter-University Sports Tournament at Nashik.

On Wednesday, she will unveil the plaque of the Institutional Complex of Mumbai Educational Trust at Bhujbal Knowledge City at Adgaon in Nashik.

She will also inaugurate Yashwantrao Chavan Planetarium & Science Centre and Nashik festival to celebrate the silver jubilee year of the Nashik Municipal Corporation on the same day.

The president will return to New Delhi late Wednesday evening.
