Instructors from Bihar holding Yoga camp at Bhopal BHEL

Bhopal, June 7: In the Yoga Camp organized by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Kasturba Hospital, more than 80 persons of different age groups are participating in various yogic asanas.

The Yoga Research Center was established about one year ago with an objective to examine the effects of Yoga in treatment along with medicines. It is run by the trained instructors from Bihar Yoga Bharti, Munger, the first Yoga University in the world. The center is making detailed study on effects of Yoga in treatment of various diseases.

Dr. NC Agarwal, Head (Medical Services) Kasturba Hospital, while inaugurating the 10-day camp said that in the camp, various yogic asanas like Pranayam, Yog Nidra, Shatkarma and Dhyana would be performed. He also said how the scientific research in the center will help in curing various diseases.

Earlier, Dr S. Menon, Chairperson, Yoga Research Center in her welcome address said that projects on Asthma, High Blood Pressure and Diabetes have been completed successfully and in the second phase, projects on Migraine and Cervical Spondylitis would be undertaken. ([email protected])
