Talking to reporters, he said, “The exact date of the meeting will be announced later on.”

Responding to a question about absence of Iran in the annual Munich Security Conference, Hosseini said, the Islamic Republic of Iran had active participation in the confab in the past few years.

He said that the US pressure on the executive officials of the Munich conference made them not to invite Iran and ignore Iran’s key and effective role in establishment of regional and international security, adding that therefore, they adopted illogical approach towards Iran.

Rejecting the US claims that parts of the January attacks on Baghdad were made by Iran’s made weapons as ‘unfounded’, Hosseini said the Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the Iraqi security and stability.

Tehran-Baghdad cooperation so far has been approved by the Iraqi government, he emphasized.
