Kerala State Wakf Board increases fund for social welfare schemes

By TwoCircles.net Staff Reporter, Kochi: The Kerala State Wakf Board has decided to extend the monthly financial aid distributed to Arabic language scholars, Arabic teachers and Qadim to 66 more people. This will be an addition to the 803 already receiving the aid. The board also decided to distribute the financial aid for wedding to 154 poor girls. Twenty-two more will get the board’s help for medical treatment. The decisions were taken in the sanction committee meeting of the Wakf Board Social Welfare Scheme.

By TCN News, New Delhi: The Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) organized a massive demonstration and Dharna at the famous Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on 30thMarch 2014, in support of Supreme court Advocate Mahmoud Pracha who has been fighting legal battles on behalf of the numerous Innocent Muslims, Jailed and incarcerated on false charges of terrorism. He has off late been threatened by the “underworld” of dire consequences. The party strongly condemned the threats to his life and conveyed support to him stressing that these kinds of threats will not be taken lightly by the BMP. The Party demanded that the Central Government take serious note of the threats and inquire into the matter and immediately appoint an independent agency to investigate the whole matter.
