Kochi: Adv TPM Ibrahim Khan has been appointed the Additional Solicitor General in the Kerala High Court. The appointment is for three years. The assistant solicitor general runs the cases of the Central government in the High Court. Mr Khan is presently the senior central government standing consul in the Central Administrative Tribunal. He also serves as the standing consul of the ESI, the Navy, the FCI and the Southern Railway in the High Court.
Mr Khan hails from Erattupetta in Kottayam district. He is the chairman of the Al Ameen educational trust and president of the Kerala CBSE Schools’ Management Association. He also serves as the state president of the Indian Lawyers’ Congress. He is a member of the Board of Directors of one of the biggest banks in the country – the State Bank of India. He has also served as Senior Standing Counsel to Lakshadweep Administration. He was the one who codified the traditional laws of Lakshadweep.
