You guys comfortably forgot the fact that a hindu businessman built as many as 90 homes in ahmedabad for his riot victim muslim neighbours. How much did u commentators do to reach out to bomb blast victims, other than protecting your so-called 'innocent youths' and disrupt the investigations of terror activities using your vote bank?

If brahmins are running media how come media is so secular, also biased towards congress? Also your propaganda for the terror group 'popular front' raise suspicion. “No Dalit or tribal among top 300 journalists”…….

Hindu upper caste men, who are barely 8% of the country’s population, have a majority share of 71% among top media professionals in the country.

The findings are based on a survey of the social background of 315 key decision-makers from 37 “national” media organisations (up to 10 from each) based in Delhi. The survey was carried out by volunteers of Media Study Group between May 30 and June 3 this year. It was designed and executed by Anil Chamaria, free-lance journalist, and Jitendra Kumar, independent researcher, from Media Study Group, and Yogendra Yadav, senior fellow, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS).

Muslims, who are 13% of the population, are under-represented at the decision makers level with only 3%. In the English electronic media, in fact, there are none.

Christians, who make up 2% of the country’s population, are absent in the Hindi print media.

“Twice born” Hindus: Meaning Brahmins, Kayasths, Rajputs, Vaishyas and Khatris are about 16% of India’s population, but they hold 86% of the key media, decision makers in the survey. Brahmins (including Bhumihars and Tyagis) alone, constitute 49% of the key media personnel.

OBCs: who are 34% of the population are only 4% of the top media personnel.

Untouchables (SC/STs) who constitute 16% and 8% respectively of the country’s population are absent from the list of key media personnel.

Brahmins (including Bhumihars and Tyagis) dominate the national media. The dominance is severe in the case of Hindi print, where they occupy 59% positions. In one Hindi newspaper all the top 10 slots are occupied by Brahmins. In English electronic, Hindi electronic and English print, the share is 52%, 49% and 44% respectively.

OBCs are the least in the English print with only 1%.

The media surveyed were Hindustan Times, Times of India, Economic Times, Hindu, Indian Express, Financial Express, India Today, Outlook, Outlook (Hindi), Dainik Hindustan, Navbharat Times, Jansatta, India Today (Hindi), Rashtriya Sahara, and Dainik Jagaran.

The TV channels studied were NDTV 24×7, NDTV Profit, NDTV India, Star News, CNBC, CNBC AWAZ, CNN-IBN, Sahara Samay, Times Now, S-1, Janmat, Aaj Tak, Headlines Today, DD News, Zee News, and IBN-7. The other news establishments were PTI, PTI Bhasha, UNI, Univarta, ANI, and BBC Radio Hindi. The researchers did not have any data about decisionmakers in All India Radio, the Pioneer, and Tehelka.

I wrote earlier UMPTEEN NUMBER OF TIMES and it has been proved WITHOUT DOUBT, from Indian Forensic Laboratory Analysis Report (NOT from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, or Tibet) - it is from INDIAN FORENSIC LABORATORY REPORT:

a) Kerosene was poured in Railway Bogie S-6 of Sabarmati Express from INSIDE ("accidentally" or "intentionally" - ask the dead Kar-Sevaks OR their employers / contractors - Sangh Parivaar). Sealed samples of BURNT/CHARRED remains PROVE this FACT.

b) Fire started in Railway Bogie S-6 from INSIDE (by whom: OCCUPANTS of Bogie). I used services of FORENSIC EXPERTS, and can "attest" their PROFESSIONALISM and their conclusion under points: a) and b).

c) Railway Bogie S-6 was LOCKED from INSIDE - there is NO LOCKING MECHANISM "for any" Indian Railway Bogie to lock from OUTSIDE. This fact is from INDIAN RAILWAY ENGINEERS - not from me.

No-one needs to eat FODDER to understand these SIMPLE, UNDENIABLE, IRREFUTABLE FACTS?

Rs. 190 Crores COMPENSATION is what Gujarat Government is ORDERED to PAY as COMPENSATION to victims of Post-Godhra riots against INNOCENTS. These were made HOMELESS, WIDOWS, ORPHANS, or those who lost their LIVELIHOOD. Remember, this Cheap Minister - Naari Hatyakaari Baabu TOOK AN OATH to PROTECT its CITIZENS, and PROVIDE SECURITY - and did QUITE THE OPPOSITE.

Condition of Muslims is ever detriorating in Modi's regime. To save Muslims in Gujrat Modi must be removed.

I am afraid this poll is more than faintly absurd. Modi has throughout victimised and oppressed the Muslims of his state. Please don't forget the main point in this controversy. I agree that the photo of UP is shown wherein the advertisement talks about muslims in Gujarat. But the mistake is not of the government but of the agency which has also owned up to its mistake.

But the main point in this advertisement is about the development of Muslims in Gujarat. All the facts mentioned in the ad are absolutely true as they are taken from Sachar Committee Report. All the points taken from Sachar Committee report highlight the fact that muslims are happy in gujarat.

One thing that media has been doing successfully from past few decades is dilute the main news in creating a controversy over trivial things. And we also succumb to it most of the times.

ARMY is plural, and as I read from Webster's dictionary it means "military", "armed forces", "defense forces", "soldiers" "crowd", or "mass".

The word "Army" is used for both MILITARY and CIVILIANS - but definitely in plural form.
