Are Momins prisoners?
I can't imagine why one thinks so. The commenter says"THERE IS SEA OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LIFE OF A MOMIN AND THE LIFE OF A KAFIR. FOR THE FORMER, THE WORLD IS LIKE A PRISON IN WHICH HE OR SHE CANNOT DO WHAT HE OR SHE WISHES. HE OR SHE HAS TO ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE PRISON. FOR THE KAFIRS, IT IS FREE LIFE WHICH ENABLE THEM TO DO ANYTHING THEY LIKE WITH NONE TO WATCH THEIR ACTIVITIES AND WITH NO FEAR OF PUNISHMENT IN THE HEREAFTER." Dear sir, for your kind information, I'll like to mention here that you have given only one difference as quoted above. Is it sea of differences? Next If the world is a prison, it is prison for all, not only for momins. Do kafirs not live in this world?
EVeryone across the world is under the supervision of God, the almighty. He has just created us and left us on our own will. We have to decide what's wrong and what's right. Religions and religious books are collections of rules and regulations, which our forefathers created on the basis of their experience according to prevailing circumstances in which they were written. A great number of such rules are not proper in modern day context. A great part of the rest is misinterpreted by the so-called religious teachers. The misinterpreters are really not so wise as the creator himself. Then how can they know what the rule really means. Fatwa is not a bad thing if it is issued in public interest and for the welfare of humanity. it is condemnable aw well as banable when it is misleading masses and is detrimental for the society. We should be sensible enough to neglect misleading things and to hug creative and progressive thing. only then we can grow and lead others.

Fatwa, Aalims, etc.
Is there not any thing between halal and haram? It's either black or white. Why do we have to seek
guidance for every action? Hasn't Allah given us a brain and a sense of judgment? Why do we have to get every decision authenticated by the mullahs? I suspect very much if the common mullahs, qazis, and the so-called aalims know the Quran beyond what they have learned from some books here and there.
Sorry! Your view is personal one and not based on Quranic diktat
"(It is) a Scripture that is revealed unto thee (Muhammed)-so that there be no heaviness in thy heart therefrom-that thou mayest warn thereby ,and (it is) a Reminder unto believers"(Holy Quran 7 :2).Again, verse 103 of chapter 3 declares
"And hold fast , all of you together, to the 'Rope of Allah"( Holy Quran), do not get separated!"
From the above it becomes clear that every Mulim man and woman is expected to be thorough with the Quran and seek guidance from it.
"Fatwa" is "the considered view only "of the person well-versed in Islamic Jurisprudence and NOt deemed the verdict of a Qazi (Judge)!
Our laziness to learn Arabic and gain mastery of the Book impels us to seek fatwas.
Further, fatwa is normally the "reply" to a specific query of the inquirer. It cannot be generalised.Hence, Muslim is not obliged to seek a "fatwa". it is extremely optional and not binding also.
Fatwa
Any Fatwa beyond the boundary of the Court of Justice, is Illegal and must be resisted by the Government and Muslims especially well educated & well informed Muslims.
I live in a Muslim majority country. Any & every Mullah in any the Remote part of the country uses the Rule of Fatwa. They Never dare to pronounce such Fatwa in the Capital or Big cities as they will be condemned or punished by the Government or the people in general.
There must must not be any Fatwa in where without the sanction of the Court.

Well said Mr Pasha.
But I beg to differ on one point. Allah is watching us all (Muslims as well as non Muslims). All of us will be judged on the Day of Judgement.
GETTING DOUBTS CLARIFIED - A MUST
THERE IS SEA OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LIFE OF A MOMIN AND THE LIFE OF A KAFIR. FOR THE FORMER, THE WORLD IS LIKE A PRISON IN WHICH HE OR SHE CANNOT DO WHAT HE OR SHE WISHES. HE OR SHE HAS TO ABIDE BY THE RULES OF THE PRISON. FOR THE KAFIRS, IT IS FREE LIFE WHICH ENABLE THEM TO DO ANYTHING THEY LIKE WITH NONE TO WATCH THEIR ACTIVITIES AND WITH NO FEAR OF PUNISHMENT IN THE HEREAFTER. HENCE THEY DON;T CARE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT IS WRONG. ON THE OTHER HAND, IT IS THE DUTY OF MUSLIM TO FIND OUT WHETHER THIS HALAL OR HARAM AS PER THE SHARIAH. HENCE ONE OF THE DUTIES OF A MUSLIM IS TO SEEK GUIDANCE FROM AN AALIM-E-DEEN AND GUIDANCE IS SOUGHT THROUGH ASKING OF A FATWAH.

Are Momins Prisoners?
It is a mistake to consider the life of a momin to be like the life of a prisoner. A true Muslim is a free man who makes his choices being guided by Quranic fundamentals such as justice, equality, fairness, compassion, tolerance and rationality. God gave us the Quran as well as brains. We must use both.
Are momins prisoners?
I would put it this way - Only by being a prisoner of Allah (swt), can a person be 'free' in the real sense of the word. Free from evil desires, crass materialism, whimsical fancies and ego-worship.
