PM's Shimla visit put off

Shimla : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's proposed visit to the Himachal Pradesh capital on Sep 30 has been postponed, officials said here Friday.

No new date has been mentioned.

Downtown Shimla had been frantically gearing up for the prime minister's public meet here where he was to announce the 'national aam admi yojna' (development scheme for the common man).

The prime minister had undergone a minor surgery last week.
