Hammer-weilding man holds 30 kids hostage in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur : At least 30 children are being held hostage by a hammer-wielding man who trespassed into a kindergarten in Malaysia's Johor state, Xinhua reported Thursday.

The man is believed to have injured a child during the standoff with the police.

Police have dispatched snipers to the scene after negotiations with the man to release children failed, said sources.
