Withdraw Lokpal bill immediately: BJD MP

New Delhi : The government-sponsored Lokpal bill is "very weak" and should be withdrawn immediately, Biju Janata Dal (BJP) MP Jay Panda said Tuesday night.

"The government bill was born in ignominious circumstances," Panda said on TimesNow channel. "It is a very weak bill."

Panda refuted suggestions that taking back the government-backed Lokpal bill would amount to an insult to parliament.

"I have been an MP for 11 years, and my credibility is not at stake," he said. "Hundreds of MPs feel the same way."
