Rawat, Satpal to monitor UPA schemes in Uttarakhand

New Delhi: The Congress Tuesday named Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Harish Rawat and Lok Sabha MP Satpal Maharaj as members of a coordination committee to oversee the central government's flagship programmes in Uttarakhand.
The Congress appointed a 10-member coordination committee and nine-member monitoring panel to keep an eye on the UPA flagship programmes like rural employment plan and others.
Polls in the hill state are due early next year.
