PCB extends contract deadline for four players

Lahore : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Friday extended the deadline for players Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Yousuf, Danish Kanaria and Younus Khan to sign contracts by Wednesday.

The PCB, which offered the contracts to 20 players Aug 3, extended the deadline as Kanaria and Khan are out of the country while Razzaq and Yousuf received the contracts only Thursday.

“The PCB offered central contracts to 20 players on Aug 3. Sixteen of these players have already signed the contracts whereas four players have yet to sign,” PCB said in a statement here.

“Kanaria and Khan are currently out of country for county cricket and will be receiving their contracts today (Friday). Razzaq and Yousuf received the contracts only a day before due to their unavailability.”

PCB said they could now sign their contracts by Wednesday.

“PCB has extended the date for signing the contracts for these four players in order to give them enough time to review before signing,” it said.
