Bhubaneswar : Police in Orissa have arrested a top Maoist leader alleged to be involved in dozens of crimes, including an attack on the house of a former state minister.
Nabeen, 24, was arrested Tuesday from Malkangiri district and has confessed his involvement in insurgent activities in many areas of the state, police chief Satish Gajbhiye told IANS.
The youth, he said, was involved in the Koraput armoury raid in 2004 and the attack on the house of former minister and present Lok Janashakti Party State president Arabinda Dhali in 2005.
Nabeen was also involved in the killing of an inspector, he said.
