New Delhi: Dr Mufti Muhammad Mukarram demanded the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to use his offices to pressure Israel to accept the rights of Palestinians. He urged India not to take any initiative for friendship until Israel stop its cruelty.
Imam of Fatahpuri Masjid also condemned demolition work in sacred Aqsa mosque premises by Israel and urged UN to stop activities which hurt the sentiments of the Muslim world.
Dr Mukarram condemned the delegation of Indian Muslims that went to Israel recently. He said that the plans and determinations of America and Israel are not hidden with anyone and Muslims should never accept their invitation.
Shahi Imam warned Israel that if it harms four thousand years old Aqsa mosque then the result will be very dangerous for it.
He condemned the decision of extension in visa of Bangladeshi authoress Taslima Nasreen and asked the Government to withdraw her visa to live in India because her presence here hurts Muslim sentiments.
Shahi Imam appealed to Muslim community to perform special prayers at night between Tuesday and Wednesday on the eve of Shab-e-Barat.
