Shimla : A Japanese man was found hanging dead from a tree near a Himachal Pradesh town, police said Tuesday.
Yuchari Hoshi, 26, was found hanging near the Poanta Sahib area in Sirmaur district, an area not popular with foreign tourists.
Villagers near Taruwalla village, about 200 km from here, alerted the police late Monday. A passport was found in his pocket.
“We are awaiting the autopsy report to ascertain if it is a case of suicide or murder,” said Subhhra Tiwari, a deputy superintendent of police.
