Amman : Jordan National Council for Family Affairs and The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) have organized a workshop during which they displayed the outcomes of the test of the growth standards for early childhood development to partners from the governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as academics and experts in the field of early childhood to take the feedback.
The council had prepared these standards within six other global countries participated in the development of global standards for early childhood development backed by Columbia University in the New York – City with a view to be accredited officially and launched, so that the people working on early childhood programs and researchers in the construction of educational programs in private early childhood could adopt it.
The Minister of Education Tayseer Nuaimi that his Ministry had expressed interest and care for children in pre-school to increase the number of governmental kindergartens across the Kingdom, which has approximately reached 582 kindergartens.
The NCFA aims to contribute to improving the quality of life of all Jordanian families. The Council aims to create the right policy environment to support the development of family protection and unity, and to identify and implement mechanisms for increased coordination between Jordanian public institutions and civil society organizations working in the field of family affairs.
