Addis Ababa : The visiting high-level delegation from South Sudan on Saturday visited the Alemgena and Chancho Training Centres of the Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA).
After the visit, the delegation said the centres were well established ones which could share their rich experiences with South Sudan.
There are plans to send professionals from South Sudan to Ethiopia with a view to enabling them get the necessary training, they said.
The delegation was briefed on the services of the centres. The Alemgena centre was established 50 years ago to provide training to professionals who execute machine-assisted road construction, said Samson Worku, the head of public relations at the ERA.
the Chancho Training Centre meanwhile has been providing the necessary training on how to construct roads employing human labour, he said.
Ethiopia and South Sudan on Friday signed two co-operation agreements that would enable the countries to share experiences in various development sectors.
Ethiopia is ready to share its experience in the house and road construction sectors with South Sudan, it was noted on the occasion.
