Bhopal: As many as 1,600 delegates from all over the world would participate in a three-day international conference here in Bhopal on the important subject of Environment from December 28. More than 265 participants from these would be from 17 different countries and more than 1,300 from 20 different States of India.
The international conference is being organized by Government Geetanjali Girls Post Graduate College, Bhopal. According to Principal of the college and chairperson organizing committee Nayantara Pathak said that it was for the first time in the history of the Madhya Pradesh Government when a government college was organizing such a mega event especially on issues like environment. He said that the conference had been approved and the Central Government and the State Higher Education Department would provide assistance.
Director of the conference Subhash C Pandey explained the details of the programme saying it would provide a platform for academicians, scientists, industrialists, environmentalists, professors and research scholars from all over the world for inter-action and exchanging their views in order to enhance the knowledge of environmental research and development, form study groups for mapping of vulnerable areas in different countries and presenting their research paper in various fields of environment for the betterment of society.
