Tehran : Iran appealed to the warring Palestinian factions on Sunday to resume dialogue and resolve their disagreements.
Spokesman of the Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali Husseini said at his weekly press briefing that Iran supported dialogue among the Palestinian factions for sake of national unity and serving higher interests and objectives of the Palestinian people.
Inter-Palestinian differences have deepened since the Islamic movement has recently taken over control of Gaza Strip following bitter and bloody fighting against Fatah movement.
"The Zionist entity (Israel) is the sole party that has benefited from the crisis and deteriorated conditions," he said, indicating that some regional states were meddling in the internal affairs of the Palestinians.
Some Arab officials have accused Iran of siding alongside Hamas in the internal power struggle.
