Dhaka : A second case in a month has been filed against former prime minister of Bangladesh Khaleda Zia and 12 other political leaders with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court here, police said.

The accused named in the case include Khaleda's detained eldest son Tarique Rahman.

Abdul Mannan, deputy registrar of Joint Stock Companies, Tuesday filed the case under the Companies Act.

The complainant alleged that the political big shots were the directors of Daily Dinkal Limited that is registered with the registrar of Joint Stock Companies. But, he alleged, they "haven't submitted service return for last several years".

All the accused have been summoned to appear before the court on July 16, the police sources said.

Earlier this month, Khaleda and her party leaders were sued in a grenade attack at a rival party rally here in 2004 in which some 24 people were killed and several hundred injured.
