"The president demands a full ceasefire by Hamas before he discusses their eight conditions," Abbas' political advisor Nemer Hamad told reporters.

Hamas conditioned the end of the fighting against Fatah security members on eight demands, including respecting previous deals signed with Hamas, removing some security chiefs accused of blocking Hamas government's security plans and reforming the Palestinian Liberation organization (PLO).

Fatah central committee and the PLO's executive committee will hold an immediate meeting at Abbas' office in Western Bank city of Ramallah to take an important decision regarding Gaza violence, Hamad said.
