Kolkata : Two Bangladeshi contract killers have been arrested from the Howrah railway station near here.
Police sources said Chandanmoy Nandi (32) and Tamiz Ahmed (21) were heading to Bhopal to eliminate a Bengali businessman there.
Working on a tip-off, the arrests took place Monday night when they were on board the Indore-bound Shipra Express.
The duo had been apparently ordered to kill an Itarsi-based trader, Swapan Dey, about three weeks ago by a man claiming to be a Dubai-based businessman.
Two 9 mm Browning pistols made in Italy and seven live cartridges were seized from them.
Deputy Inspector General P. Neeraj Nayan said the police were looking for five other criminals who were also associated with the same operation and were waiting at Burdwan station meet up with the duo.
